Deepening My Understanding
This week, I continued focusing on learning how to implement mixins in a way that is compatible with Riverpod v3. Although progress felt slow, I realized that understanding the concept properly is more important than rushing to complete it. I spent time reading and experimenting to ensure I truly understand how the implementation should work.
Applying Gitflow the Right Way
After a few weeks of learning Gitflow, Dr. Shawn granted me access to raise pull requests again. This time, I made sure not to repeat my previous mistake of pushing directly to the master branch. Instead, I followed the proper workflow by working on my own branch before creating a PR to the develop branch.
During this process, I made several corrections and learned how to better read and understand errors, including working with UuidValue. This experience helped me improve my debugging skills and reinforced the importance of following proper version control practices.
Preparing for and Supporting a 2-Day Event
In preparation for the upcoming 2-day event in Johor Bahru (11–12 April), I performed database checks to ensure all information was accurate and ready for use. During the event, I was responsible for handling the technical setup, including preparing laptops and tablets, as well as assisting the team in displaying slides and videos using the projector.
Although it was quite tiring managing a 2-day event, it was still a fun and meaningful experience. One challenge I encountered was the unstable hotel WiFi, which caused the web application to occasionally log out and take time to refresh. Despite this, the event still went smoothly, and I gained valuable experience in handling real-time technical issues. I’m grateful for the opportunity given by Dr. Shawn and the Euroasia team.
Looking Ahead
For next week, I plan to complete my login button prototype and submit it to Dr. Shawn for review. I also aim to finalize the mixin implementation, as it has been prioritized due to issues in the current develop branch. I hope to continue learning and improving as I take on these challenges in the coming week.
